I understand sampling and interpolation it’s cool for a hook or to pay homage for a bar or two but he’s taking substantial parts of songs and to the untrained ear it passes as his own work that shyt ain’t right

Breh isn't taking a bar or two and flipping it he's taking large chunks of lyrics and interpolations from all sorts of different artists and genres. At that point artists he's biting deserve writing credits and royalties.
