Basically , ain't like hbo didn't just have Ortiz vs. Jennings. Jennings better than anyone Wilder has fought too.
This was Ortiz second fight in 3 months .....it's going be hard to line up a good opponent with that kind of timing. Common fukking sense :martin:

That's fine

You better have the same "bu bu bu but he's active" stance when Wilder N other fighters do the same exact thing then

Please tell me the Wilder stans are not in here trying to shyt on Ortiz for taking a stay busy fight while waiting for the mando against Ustinov is finalized.
Deontay Wilder has spent his entire career fighting landscapers, substitute English teachers and escargot chefs with only one foray out of the reject aisle of the heavyweight boxing scene.

Lets shut this down real quick. Wilder is the WBC HW champion of the world. Up until now he hasn't fought stiff competition, although he's about to fight povetkin. As the WBC champ his comp has been iffy.

Ortiz got pop for PEDs and looks like the marshmellow man, who's an assassin, but also mandatory for the WBA?(one of them) and lurking in the HW championship shadows. Up until now his competition has likewise been just okay (Best win KO of B Jennings). As a contender, his competition (stay busy and not) has been predictable. Not much better, but he doesn't hold THE belt.

Now if Wilder was HBO we all know Max would be calling him Riddikk Bowe and they'd be calling Ortiz suspect ala what they are with wilder now.

Don't let HBO get you fukked up.

@patscorpio What did Ortiz's landed punches sound like in person? I remember you could hear them #BeterBeast shots

They sounded like small bombs breh..the 1st and 3rd round knockdowns had ppl like saying Damn like smokey and Craig in friday..truthfully I had no idea how Tony got to his feet after those..that power is no joke...surprisingly tony's right hook sounded crazy too when he landed it

Bad Ass Bradley gave this nikka +5 strength :wow: @mr. smoke weed
Every shot he landed sweat was flying and Ali head would bobble, that boy Vargas heavy handed, in 2-3 years nobody is going to want to face this technically aware thudding punching stalker...Now is the time to catch Vargas for Bradley, Vargas still has a small lww body frame, but he getting better and better, I think he's past fighting to the level of competition stage

back from DC...shyt was a good time

@Newzz
dc armory went OD on cops and security up in there. had to go through the metal detector and got a thorough police pat down before i could go in.
even the concession stand workers had to do their part...if you bought a bottled water they had to keep the cap because nikkas would pee in bottles, screw it back on, and then throw it at whoever is performing lol
there was also some fukkery afterwards..my brother noticed all these security mufukkas running towards one of the parking lots after it was done..so we went in the opposite direction to catch our Uber

@Iron Chin Wilder what are your thoughts on d'metrious big meech ballard and lamont roach, jr?..roach was impressive as fukk to me..im surprised he didn't stop the cuban mufukka he faced

@yawn your boy escandon put in work..knocked castellanos through the ropes for the stoppage but he got flash KD earlier in the fight..he was a little reckless but he applied great pressure and broke him down...they should have aired that fight on HBO it was hype

sadam ali got so much love..chanting Ali!!! Ali!!!! in the beginning.and then you hear the group of mexicans in the center section yelling vargas...vargas really impressed the fukk out of me..that first KD had everyone going crazy..vargas out there showing power i didn't think he had like that... guess that work with roy paid off :leon:..kudos to him

tony thompson :snoop:...as soon as his robe was taken off there were several nikkas that were like "fukk this bullshyt..this nikka isnt in shape" lol..i was telling my brother this shyt wont go 3 rounds..then five rounds..then i got a little vexed :francis:..but ortiz didn't look too good but his punches had a mean audible on them...the first 2 knockdowns i have no idea how tony got up from those..as soon as tony went down for the final time..cats hit the exit ASAP

2 things that surprised me a little: paulie malignaggi was in there in a track suit...and so was ruben guerrero...the fukking announcer was a mark for him..giving him the champion's type of introduction (he also announced jameel mccline as a former heavyweight champion of the world :francis:)...and what was even more hilarious was how many mexicans were lining up just to get a picture with him..they were sweating him lol..humberto gonzalez..a true mexican boxing legend was up in there and didn't get half the attention he got

random non boxing - stadium in DC was a dope strip club to be in..bytches working the poles like they were trying to win the gold or something lol.. nice atmosphere..there were more females in there then men...bisexual bytches were turning up..dancing on each other and whatnot..and the happy hour where it was a dollar for each for a guinness/heineken on top of shots had me with the :dame: look after some time..quality place to unwind in dc..but dc gonna have to repeal that no lap dances law they got
full

i fukks with DC :myman:

Didn't watch the Douglas fight...and have no plans to based on some of the rundown of the fight i'm reading in this thread

And Thompson was just there to collect a check...enter a fight with one of the hottest names in the Heavyweight division looking like...

Didn't catch either one...but both have been monsters on the local amateur scene for a while.

finally was able to watch some of the showtime card

tony harrison's chin is still a question mark..guerrero found it briefly in round 5 and it looked like he was going to find his way back into the fight..luckily for tony, guerrero's chin is not a question mark at all lol...good little scrap but like someone said he needs to run it back with willie this year...guerrero might want to start thinking about retiring though

:damn: at douglas...dude took a beating from this cat..fight played out like escandon-castellanos..khurtsidze dragged him down in the trenches..took away all of douglas's advantages..for a 5'4 fighter that pressure was impressive...dropped him twice before the stoppage..douglas's corner could have pulled him out a couple rounds before..especially after that second KD..dude was auto pilot status..but he's a young guy and hopefully he will bounce back

will try to watch the j-rock-matano fight at some point today
