I think Ka got my rap AOTY but we'll see. Damn shame we might not get a Schoolboy Q album this year btw. Side note...Gibbs/Spitta/Alch project could be another rap aoty contender, assuming it comes out as promised on Halloween.

Behold A Dark Horse currently my #2.

Yea for me I cant put Ka's album over it. Ka's album is crazy tho.
Bitter Dose and Behold the Dark Horse my # 1 and 2 albums for 2018.

DJ Muggs x Roc Marciano - KAOS (CD)

Saw this is in the link for the standard CD on Fat Beats earlier today that was interesting. Looks like we're getting some kind of movie out of this :ohhh:

"KAOS is a 10-song score made to soundtrack an upcoming feature film coming in Spring 2019. The film follows two childhood friends, Muggs and Roc Marci, who were brought up in different areas of New York: Hempstead, Long Island and Flushing, Queens. After a significant amount of time spent apart, they are reunited after Muggs serves out a 10-year prison bid. With hopes to rule the streets once again, the duo act out in ‘kaos’ towards anyone who tries to get in their way."

DAMN :whoo:

This joint is a cool lil project but I'm not even gonna stunt, Caught a Lick and Wormhole are straight skip status.

Marci trying to do trap-esque joints? :what:

2nd verse of Caught a Lick bit Lord Infamous' flow wholesale like everybody else mainstream (that influence :wow:)

It's not bad but this is the worst joint he's released this year. The singles were perfectly chosen to promote this :russ:

Glad I saved White Dirt for the album, it's my favorite on here, you weren't kidding :wow:

This is a soundtrack to their movie that's coming in 2019 so maybe that's why with the slight diff sound on those two tracks? Not feeling Caught A Lick either, Wormhole wasn't bad, but not my favorite either.

I've read interviews where Roc said he was influenced by Kool Keith and I figured he just meant his rhyme style.

This joint makes it feel like he was talking about the fact that he can just link up with a a producer and bang out a whole joint like Keith used to do. :ohhh:

Gonna give it another listen. Off the first spin, It feels like a film score - I'm guessing the trap joints are for the action scenes.:ld:

I initially thought we would be getting Roc's version of 'Gems From The Equinox' but this isn't that.:ehh:
