Long Live The Kane
Tyrant Titan
What movie is the skit after Ice Cream Man from?
its like he's the abstract black scorsese. he's mad cinematic and glamorous with his ducktales, while at times being disjointed and incoherent. its like when a dude tells a story but bounces around a whole fukking lot. shyt works and the words actually rhyme 90% of timedude is the only-
The ONLY rapper I've ever seen that can make a line as silly as "Make green like yellow and blue" sound hot.
currently giving this 4.25/5. I don't see it getting no lower. Dude's just... just on some other shyt. It's like he invented his own version of "rappity" rap. No song cohesion, no storytelling, no verbal acrobatics....
just bar after bar after bar of raw, slick, nitrogen cold drug dealing pimp talk. And he does it so effortlessly....
and he done MASTERED that shyt. You may ,, or when you hear it... but when you THINK those bars, all you feel is
And yeah. I hate to admit it, but Bronson don't belong here. It sort of takes Marci out of his zone because Bronson prefers lighterhearted tracks.
Didn't know it was out already...he and Bronson give me my contemporary NYC-rap fix
Yeah Roc needs some more energy and more presence behind the mic. The talk is slick but its not effective with that same ol flow/delivery.Disappointed after the hoopla and I'm a Roc Marci supporter from the UN days. Flows are lazy as hell on this. Real lazy. I kept like 2 joints off this tape to be honest.
Gonna wait for the Beaucoup and hope it's just not repetitive lazy flows like this.
you could argue that for Marcberg..this is no where near Marcberg why does his flow sound like hes rhyming to the same boring beat????
Between the Action Bronson apologists and the cats saying this is wack, I'm trying to figure out what's going on. This is a mixtape and it's foolish to compare this to Marcberg. If he made another Marcberg, cats would come through on their chariots screaming that "it's the same thing over and over again". Artists must do different things. Of course he's on that slick shyt talking because the tape is called "The Pimpire Strikes Back". You cannot seriously tell me that you thought this would be a return to Marcberg.
Also, Roc Marciano's production on this is stellar. It's cool when others supply him like Evidence and Madlib but he is at his best on his own beats. That's undeniable. The laid back flow and approach has been here since Reloaded. As for deleting anything off this tape, you're crazy. Unless we're talking about Action Bronson.
