Haha yup, definitely cosign the Rae talk. I'd love to hear him on Roc's production. Or Ka's production; Grief Pedigree has some damn amazing beats
Roc may not be the best producer - he's mainly a loop guy - but he plays his part very well. His shyt bumps, he picks perfect samples, etc. And another thing I realized while listening to Reloaded all day today: he's doing 90s/early 2000s style production without sounding like cheap knock offs, or mixtape shyt. My biggest problem with Wu Block and a lot of stuff Rae raps over is that it just sounds so cheap, like they're buying beats off MySpace in 2003. Roc's shyt just sounds...right. He finds the perfect sample, adds drums (or doesn't), 808s, loops it and bam.
