THREE-OH-FIVE TILL I DIE
May I interject something?

Both intros are the shyt.
But there's one intro that tops them all.
Except, upon re listening, there was an awful lot of homoerotic content off up in that bytch.

:mjlol: and Nas stans say Hov stans are revisionist.

Low key Hov used to be the king of intros :mjpls:

That change up :ohlawd:

Even gave Bleek that heat...

And just when nikkas thought he'd lost it...he came through on his most hated album...

:damn:

People gotta realize the tempo on both intros are complete opposite as well as the lyrical styles

Jay-Z came with the somber tone, witty wordplay and Nas came with the energy and intense imagery

Jay-Z intro sounds like a dope song, whereas Nas' song just sounds like an intro.

Wow this is much closer than what real life dictates :dwillhuh:

I've never heard one bad word about that Dynasty intro at all. Not one. Then I come on here and :russ:

A lot of people talk about that "Blood of a Slave, Heart of a King" not making any remote sense and I'd have to agree :ld:
Truth be told, it's gotta be "Heart of a Slave, Blood of a King" to actually fit in line with the imagery and emotion Nas is trying to portray.
A slave's bloodline and a King's heart? Or a King's bloodline and a slave's heart (ability to persevere)?

Gotta go with the Dynasty Intro here.

This was just food for thought though, you do the dishes :youngsabo:

He has the blood of a slave (the lineage of his ancestors and their ability to persevere) and the heart of a king( the romanticized view of a king is one of strength, confidence, and of course power). What's so hard to get? The first and only person I heard question that is Peter Rosenberg and now it seems contagious.

Great assessment.

Jay-Z intro sounds like a dope song, whereas Nas' song just sounds like an intro.

I feel that way about a million and I think the vol 3 Intro was too short.

There's no such thing as a bloodline of slaves. Only a bloodline of kings tbh :ld:

A person is a king through bloodline, not heart. A slave's perseverance comes from his heart, not blood :ld:
