niger, pronounced neegar or n*gger was a pejorative for the real jews in ancient times and in modern day. The jews were called n*gers when they escaped to Africa. The place where they were the most heavily concentrated was named after them, by the europeans who enslaved them. The word Nigeria and Niger denotes the locations in Africa which were the most heavily concentrated with Jews who had migrated from East Africa, originally from Jerusalem/Judea/Judah.

Some Igbos say they are descended from Jews so your theory has some actual backing breh :russ:

Don't know how true it is but it'll get a dap and +rep from me :lolbron:

the theory has backing whether the Igbos claim Israelite descent or not. Read the Hebrewisms of West Africa and you will see various tribes and cultures in addition to the Igbos who have borrowed traditions of the Israelites. That is because Jews/N*ggers traveled across africa until they were rounded up and sold into slavery. The modern day descendants of those slaves are still called n*ggers/nigers until this day. Still they are a people who's bloodline is not only of slaves, but before that, that of the Kingdom of Judah. Who's most famous Kings are still renowned. Nas believes he's of the Kingly descent, even though the nation of royalty was cast down to a nation of slaves.

Thats the meaning behind the line Heart of a King, blood of a slave

So this roundabout digression was just to justify that Nas line? :skip:

this is how i took it.
nas growing up went through struggles and especially during this time period was (1999-2001)going through a lot of struggles both personally and professionally and that is why he was making the comparisons to slavery. on top of that he actually like all african americans does come from the slave bloodline and had to overcome all kinds of obstacles to eventually rise (in other words show heart) to the 'throne' to rule his kingdom -blood of a slave, heart of a king!!!!

Heart of a slave doesn't tie in the history of slavery and the African American community. Anyone can have the heart of a slave. The way Nas said it was right. But you're arguing with a troll.
