i thought she had 1 black grandparent from barbados,1 is irish, 2 are guyanese.

3 generations for her is like she had an ancestor in africa in 1920. :what: when did slavery end for yall
Don’t be a contrarian, Irish migrated to Barbados and were considered white slaves.. decendants of the Irish are still there in Barbados as they are called red legs

I remember breaking down crying in 12 years a slave in the theater. And that was just an ounce of what our ancestors really went through that they re-enacted in the film. I have cried reading slave narratives. I tear up seeing pictures of the backs of slaves who have been beaten and whipped. To know what our people had to endure is heartbreaking.

I do not see why ANY black person would want to see this play.

Not only is it disgusting, but I find it to be extremely disrespectful to those who died (women and men) trying to survive another day at the hands of their white massa while being sexually abused, raped, beaten, etc.

Bajans were the most docile slaves in the entire Caribbean, Riris behavior don't surprise me.

You fukking idiot.

Every Caribbean country followed the same pattern with the abolition of slavery in the 1830s and then riots in the 1930s for equality and independence. You are a fool of the highest order.
