Definitely remember the 3d glasses from 711. They used to show the actual old Universal Monster Movies on Fridays. They also were the only ones showing Bruce Lee, and lesser known kung fu films.

you had to go to the movies to see fist of fury still on a screen there.
yet i saw bruce way more on just rego bmore television damn near nightly there in the summer.
in bmore you got to see bruce. which i would rather watch bruce.
than some random samurai showdown at 11pm in chicago.
baltimore was more into bruce than the chi.
as far as airing on regular television.

Granted even Robotech was a sort of stew of a few different things it was one of my first exposures to Anime and me and older cousin convinced the Library to stock them in their video section along with Miyazaki, Akira and some other stuff. Its still a classic to me and of historical importance.

Rick is asian.
Possibly mixed.
It is just the series is setup in a realm of maturity. You associate rick as being white.
As japanese people consider themselves white.
.lisa is caucasian.
Lisa dead fiance is white.
Lisa's fathwr is white
.claudia is black.
Roy is white.
Rick and roy are not really brothers. Just kindred brothers as rick is his kid brother. Not his real brother.
Commander g is black.
The bridge bunnies are white.
Min mei is chinese i believe. Which is why rick has disconnect and is susceptible to disconnect culturally with kyle.
Kyle is a family friend and maybe japanese.
Ben Dixon is japanese.[which is why he acts an ass and disrespects rick and max early on.]
Max is asian. Maybe mixed asian.

It would be better to make rick black.
Keep max asian and you can work rhe hair like stormriders.
To eliminate the hair issue with rick.
As it helps to showcase the series better.
I believe the cartoon network michael b jordan cartoon did this dynamic.
So it is a series where it features this and it was alright but it is not macross.
Plus....if you work roy as white.
It better showcases roy coming to rick's father'$ circus. Where now you can have claudia and roy. Where it makes more sense. Plus show the connection roy has with commander g.
Plus the history of roy dating claudia works better. If roy is kept white. As roy is the coolest white boy character of all time ever.

I mean I did buy the whole media blasters Golion set….. I don’t like stitched together stuff.
I get the nostalgia aspect but I will never watch OG voltron from beginning to end again. Towards the end the story is nonsense.
