the thing with downey is that its all smoke and mirrors, due date, soloist and sherlock 2 all did average to bad at the BO. His so called career resurgence is down to ironman, without it hes as much as a draw as johnny deep is without pirates

I gotta give props to The Rock.. he came through in the 00's and pretty much snatched Vin Diesels spot as the next big action star...

Vin Diesel tried to avoid franchises in place for more "dramatic/stronger acting roles' and is now stuck to doing franchises.. looking bored as hell, delivering his lines in the laziest way possible in the Fast and Furious movies.. while the Rock has maintained the charisma and screen presence that Vin used to have when he was about to break out as a movie star.

Yes but really outside of the Marvel franchise, RDJ really only had Sherlock series as being a Blockbuster draw. Johnny Deep is kinda of the same way now. If he's not Jack his films aren't performing as well. Neither of them can really sell a movie the way Will Smith or Tom Hanks or Cruise does. These guys takes movies to 100 Million that nobody else really can. You take the suit of Downey, sure he's a very good actor and he was under rated even before the Drug Years. He struck gold playing Iron Man so that's why he got 75 Million for Iron Man 3 and The Avengers 2. He's going to do The Avengers 3 and that's it. They may throw him even more to try and bring him back for Iron Man 4 but I really think he's done with the character. He's made so much money. As for The Rock, he was smart by going back to ACTION. Every movie he's done has been action based in the last 3 years. Fans are now accepting him as the action star he should of been. But Volume is why The Rock is #2. He's drop 6 Movies in the last 2 years:
