Johnny Cochran died damn near 10 years ago & just because Rob Shapiro was on the dream team doesn't mean he was close to the Kardashians.
Who cares when Johnnie died. Rob wasn't 7 years old back then and was oblivious to who these people were. He was born into the kind of access that people will never get and on the strength of his pops name alone he could've had door opened for him. But he and his sisters let their mother (who isn't even a Kardashian anymore) take the name and and turn it into something else.

It seems his pops dying and him growing up with all females, or alpha-females (if there is anything like that) the man had no chance. He was treated like a wuss with no male around to tell him to stop sniveling and be a man.
