Basically. With the 2016 title run he was cemented top 10, probably top 5 but by 2018 it was clear he wasn’t gonna have a comparable 10 year stretch (late 80s-late 90s) of dominance + winning that had MJ heralded as goat athlete, let alone goat nba.
Not getting that 3-peat with the Heatles hurt -particularly the 2011 blunder- and the KD GSWs closed any chances of that happening in CLE.
However, if you can’t achieve the aura of nigh invincibility that Mike had, the next best route is sustainability/ longevity stats and records. Basically the Kareem argument for which LeBron already leapfrogged.
