You have to remember artist like her and even ross make most of their money outside of the game. Being signed to Def Jam or Roc Nation gives you a big plat form to reach a big audience to sell your other products perfumes, champagne

Side note: Calvin Harris is basically managed by Roc Nation .

The record for artists that turned down or left Roc Nation isn't very pretty (M.I.A., Wale, Kylie), etc. She probably sees the Samsung deal Rihanna has and is salty. The fact is, record sales are about people buying into you and I don't know anyone who buys into Rita Ora. Roc Nation wanted her to be a UK artist where she sells and she's hell bent on being big in the states. That's their issue. She's looking at the Ed Sheerans blowing up.
