She said I know him and his family. Went to school with him. Me and my brother was of course :damn::leon: Started peppering her with mad questions about how cool he was in school etc. she immediately dismissed us and said he was a fukking weirdo in high school but she is glad he finally doing well now. I was like oh shyt :mjlol:
I got an older cousin that graduated from Wilkinsburg in the 70s that said the same thing about him:mjlol:. Straight up had the :childplease:face when talking about him. Both my parents and their siblings went to Westinghouse.

I still remember it like it was yesterday. When my moms called him a “fukking weirdo” her face was :childplease: As she recollected how he was when she was growing up. That tells me he must have been that one off nikka in the neighborhood :mjlol:

Hell your family probably knows mine in the area.

Probably. I swear everyone that grew up in that area in that era knows each other or knows someone who knows someone
Sad to say back then there was a real community. It was all black but it was working class black people. If they know the Robinson’s who stayed off of Hunter then they know my family.

I used to spend summers in Wilkinsburg at my cousins house. Stayed right next to Hunter Park. Had hella good times. Caught a few L’s cause they all considered me a square from Monroeville. But it was great times

Can y'all explain the Olive Garden & meatsauce references in this thread? I never heard of this "Lonely Virgil" dude until within the last couple weeks.

Damn.

I never saw him in Times Square/GCS but definitely grew up watching him in the WWF. Him, Koko B Ware , JYD (RIP) and later Bad News Brown were some of the few black wrestlers I remember. All superstars and fan favorites.

Had no idea dude was fighting cancer.

RIP to a rasslin' legend
