Yeah, it was surreal when I found out about Kobe :sadcam:

I used to think the team players were actually from the town they're representing :francis:

BREH YOU TOO?!?!?

I swear growing up I thought AI and em were from Philly, instead of Virginia and etc. It always blows my mind seeing a team lineup and heads going "I'm Matt Rowlands and I'm from Chickasaw, Alabama" and these dudes are in the Knicks :dead: . Crazy man.

But back on topic, Mutombo always came off as a oversized kid. Like dude was genuine with everything and quite frankly, we need more of that down here...especially nowadays :mjcry:

Yeah man, as a kid I couldn't help it. Just like how I always believed MJ was a throughbred Chicago native,

But Mutombo's good nature was necessary nowadays :wow:

I remember him reading a mean tweet on Jimmy Kimmel Live that said “If anything should ever happen to the guy who does the voice of Cookie Monster, I can sleep well at night knowing we have Dikembe Mutombo as a backup. Not only was he a great player but he also had a great sense of humor about himself. R.I.P.

RIP…I only had the privilege of meeting him twice and got a photo of him, Ewing, Zo, and John Thompson standing together at a USA Olympic team practice.

Second time was when the NBA held the Africa vs game in Joburg some yrs ago. Loved the game and gave back to the continent to help the game grow there as well. Big loss
