Because she played a key part in allowing the little one to be abused in the first place.
Though there will always be exceptions to the rule, the mother is typically the first buffer between a child and the world. So, when you have a mother who willingly steps aside and leaves her child(ren) open and defenseless, then, yeah...it's not too shocking folks want her head as well.
It stands to reason, in spite of the endless fukkery that is life in this world, the odds are that little Maleah would not have met such a fate if her mama would have done her job and protected her...this man sounds like he never should have been around her child in the first place.
How did he dump the body in Arkansas? Or did someone help him?
it's like a 5 hour drive. i do think someone helped him. i don't think he took his son on the 5 hour drive there and 5 hours back.
at least one other person was helping him. someone made those fake lumps and scratches. someone drove him to the hospital in the "missing" car.
i honestly think it was his brother. his brothers home was like 20 minutes away from where the missing car was found. his brothers home was where Derion was before he was arrested.
his brother has up and left to St Louis suddenly. cops said they were looking to see if 4-5 people were involved.

Wow. This got me messed up. We all knew he did it but him admitting it makes it very heavy once again.
All avenues of this case needs to be investigated. The mother, CPS for endangering children despite their environmental conditions and the driver.
His knucklehead brother probably knew what was going on too.

The human remains found in Arkansas last week are those of missing 4-year-old Maleah Davis, authorities confirmed Monday after an autopsy report.
The Houston girl was reported missing on May 4, but the investigation took a major turn on Friday after a suspect in her disappearance confessed to dumping her body in Fulton, a town about 30 miles from Arkansas’ border with Texas, officials said.
The suspect, Derion Vence, was engaged to Maleah’s mother. He was charged with tampering with evidence after initially telling police the girl had been abducted by two Hispanic men.
Vence, 26, shared specific details about the body’s location with an activist who visited him in jail, but claimed her death was an accident, according to a local ABC affiliate.
He said he pulled over in Arkansas, got out of the car, walked off the side of the road, and dumped her body off the side of the road," activist Quanell X told the station.
A roadside landscaping crew found a garbage bag with her remains in Fulton after local police began searching for her last week.
The cause and manner of death will be determined after further tests.
