Not trying to turn the thread that way but Stan hardly created all those characters on his own, and his often little mentioned (to the mainstream's knowledge) co-creators Kirby and Ditko got a lot worse off. Stan was always an idea man and that's what he excelled at, but he owes a lot to Kirby and Ditko doing a lot of the groundwork storytelling in those Marvel books.

Kirby and Ditko do get a lot of the credit mostly in the creation of how these characters would look and appear and how they were drawn to bring life thru the pages. However, Stan was the true visionary and the main storyteller & editor. How they use to run it and what became a comic book standard across the board was that Stan would come up with the ideas and the premise, he'll refer them to Kirby or Ditko about the story premise and concepts of this character, what the theme and general story arc and characteristics of each character involved. Kirby and Ditko would take notes, and draw whatever they want to draw based off the premises and concepts and story arcs that Stan provided them. Then they give it back to Stan and Stan would fill in the dialogue of each panel. So it's all a collaborative effort, but it was still based on Stan's vision.

I was explaining to someone recently that I've never felt much comfort from religious texts or honestly from other people

Superhero characters many created by Stan Lee always inspired me to try harder, do more, be generous, be brave and be bold...

Excelsior, Beloved for this life to the next
