It's crazy to think about how much Bret has dealt with this at a comparatively young age for that sorta thing.
Bret's situation is very unique. In that it wasn't old age in a sense, but rather the "sickness" of the industry; the addiction of the crowd and the brotherhood of being a part of a small circle, that led to a numerous amount of his friends dying early from drug abuse plus the death of Owen as well.
Add in the fact that Bret had a stroke and cancer.
Happy that Bret is still around, as I think he has started to find peace. Even when Bret was doing his part-time stuff with WWE, he still wasn't really over. I think Bret now is in a much better mood because the big downside about Bret's personality was that he really loved the business too much.
Which while old-school, was already becoming very outdated in the 90's and Bret didn't seem to realize that. I think that make Bret very unhappy about wrestling, but at the same time didn't understand how it was changing no matter how much you tried to keep it old school.
