No hyperbole but I've seen a lot of live sets on YouTube from Hendrix to nirvana and never seen anyone wreck like this over a 20 minute time frame, never the least whole set.

Talking to my manager last night and he said he'd seen Prince on his stint at the O2 in 2007(?). He said the Purple Rain solo must've lasted 20 minutes or so and it's one of the best things he's ever seen 
He had tickets to some afterparty with another band. Prince pops up and pretty much kicks the band off and plays until 4/5am, he said that performance was as good if not better than the O2 set

What nights did he go? I managed to talk my way into press passes for the 1st, 10th and 21st nights. The rendition of Purple Rain on the 1st night might be the greatest performance I've ever seen of any song. There were maybe 3 encores that night. The crowd thinned out a bunch and he came back in, hidden in a flight case and played a solo set. Common opened for him on the 10th night. I ended up sitting next to Corinne Bailey Rae and her sister that night - both mad cool. The last night was just

He didn't say what day he went, he's not very good with remembering dates like that. Him and his wife had a hotel booked near the O2 and he said it was a complete waste due to how long they'd stopped to watch the 2nd Prince show. They ended up having to leave the Prince afterparty early (4am ish) so that they could pack their bags and leave the hotel for their early train
I wish I'd have been in Prince even just a few years ago, that random tour he did his Leeds and I'd have tried my hardest to get a ticket.
