No one knew how serious it was.

I know, but in a combat sport/entertainment, the health of the people must be #1. MMA Refs are told to stop despite the fight to protect. When a guy is not moving, or his head down, one has to assume a concussion or knocked out. You can see in the video, they tried to wake him up. Immediately they should have quickly seen if he is suffering a medical emergency.

I can't for the life of me understand why they kept the match going when Perro went limp. Especially considering that they had to do dives utilizing the ropes. He may have died instantly once he hit the ropes, but you have to get medical attention in there immediately. Ridiculous that they didn't do so.

Just an awful situation all around.

Rey de Reyes show got cancelled twice. ADR had to cancel on them (and he had to honour a date in Australia), so they lost one of their main events. One of their office workers died in a bus crash (bus was full of AAA employees as well).

Just a sad freak accident. Apparently what killed him was the impact from landing on the top rope.

It's scary how unprepared and clueless the staff was. It looks like they were carrying him off on a table and even almost dropped him at first.

Saito suplex, but he had previous spinal cord issues from all the abuse he took in his career. Don't know if Perro had any preexisting spinal/spinal cord issues before this. Hopefully the autopsy will tell us something.
