To be completely honest. if you have a CCW in a non constitutional carry state the cops are somewhat more cordial maybe because this can happen and maybe because they assume you're a "good guy" if you carry.

I must say I got rousted way more often before I started carrying then after. I remember I actually was placed in a cell (because my license was suspended) They were apologetic and didn't even check me thoughly before they put me in.

He saw actual warning signs and didn't act on them at all because he was dealing with a white suspect. He knew there was a weapon and watched the suspect exit the vehicle. The officer made no movement for his firearm because despite all that he couldn't imagine that other white man doing him harm.
