Was just watching some old Mid South the other day where he was heavily featured.
Brother was a straight up specimen in the gym
Doom vs the Horsemen from Havoc 90 was a fun match.

RIP Butch Reed. Doom was one of my favorite NWA/WCW tag teams. You couldn’t convince me as a youngin that those two weren’t the baddest muthafukkers on the planet. Their matches with the Steiners were dope.

Four legit badass people in/out of the ring. Butch Reed along with Bobo Brazil never really get the credit they truly deserve.
Let's also appreciate the greatness of Slick while he's still with us.

Yea Doom in WCW was my first exposure to Butch, so when I saw old WWF pics of him with the blonde hair, a young me was like 
lol
I know he was an old head, but he still died at an earlier enough age...especially considering some that are Still here with us

I didn't know he was in WWE at first until years later I rented WrestleMania III at Blockbuster back in the day. I didn't get to see much of his run with Ron Simmons as Doom b/c I didn't have cable back then as kid.
Much respect to him for being one of many blacks to really break into a very racist industry.
Just to think, this guy was supposed not originally be the first black IC champion in WWF back in '87 but they gave it to Honky Tonk Man instead *smh*

I was just watching the Doom breakup the other day and thought about how they were split too soon. RIP
R.I.P. to one of the toughest men in wrestling; and half of one of my favorite tag teams of all time, Doom.
Not only was Mr. Reed a wrestling legend, but he was also a legend on the professional rodeo circuit. #BadAss
