Honestly not feeling this at all. It's very disrespectful to Joe Smith. Arum reached a deal with Anthony Yarde because he's the WBO mandatory. Problem is that he's technically Joe's mandatory, not Artur's. Bob should have said he reached a deal with Yarde to fight tonight's winner. But the fact that he said a Beterbiev/Yarde deal is in place is completely downplaying Smith.

And this is coming from someone who's picking Beterbiev to win. You still have to acknowledge the fact that Joe is a very live dog. Between this and the fact that he's a -600 underdog, part of me can't help but root for Joe Smith.

If there's a fighter that can be caught cold and early, it's Beterbiev. I'm expecting a war of attrition, but unlike Gvozdyk, I expect Smith to more closely match Beterbiev's physical strength and will.

Joe Smith TKO9 :banderas:

If Joe was just a little more defensively sound, I could see him taking it.
