Picture from his last film role in a movie called "Dreams" (came in Detroit a couple of weeks ago). I saw it. He look and act the same as he did on Different World.

Actor Lou Myers, best known for his role as ornery restaurant owner Mr Gaines on the television series A Different World, has died.

Tonia McDonald of Myers' nonprofit, Global Business Incubation, said Myers died Tuesday night at Charleston Area Medical Center in West Virginia.

McDonald said that the 76-year-old had been in and out of the hospital since before Christmas and collapsed recently. An autopsy was planned.
