There is nothing at all ‘conspiracy’ about wondering if cte played a part. I don’t think it did, but its part of the reality of the sport
Between 2007 and 2020, the suicide rate among Black men has increased by 144%.

How the fukk is CTE the first go to? Maybe you simply never gave a fukk enough to learn about the suicide epidemic that is happening among young Black men . You guys dont care and lazily attach shyt.

Rip he most likely had cte

Shut up, bruh. It was clearly depression because he killed a man in a hit and run . They were going to hear the case tomorrow. Kyren thinking his football career was over and have nothing left.

Mental Health is a serious issue.

There isn't anything clear, you don't know what was going on in his head and it's inappropriate to claim you do. Say rip to the breh and keep it push

As as you nikkas catching feelings over cte, 99% of football players have a form of cte, taking blows to the head isn't normal. Y'all football negros stay mad when people point out it's a violent sport

Sad news all the way around.

Young man went from a 1st/2nd rounder probably until that negligent homicide charge.

He could have eventually bounced back from this. I’ve seen guys like Michael Vick, Donte Stallworth, Ray Lewis, and many others reinvent themselves and come back even better after very serious legal issues.

He was young and had a full life in front of him even if it wasn’t an NFL player, he could have had a very productive life, helped youth, and still made good money. Maybe not NFL money but it’s a lane out there for motivational speakers, mentors, etc.

Broke my heart, was literally at lunch with my cousin yesterday and we were talking about him and some of the gun celebrations

He was immensely talented, really don’t take a rocket scientist to see he might’ve been depressed

I know these young men feel hella pressure. I hope these guys feel appreciated and love outside of football. God bless his family and the family of the old head who died in the crash a few months earlier. All around tragedy

like.... this is the definition of crashing out

Louisiana State Police allege Lacy was driving a 2023 Dodge Charger south on LA Highway 20 and “recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the centerline and entering the northbound lane while in a designated No-Passing Zone.”

The former LSU wide receiver declared for the NFL Draft just two days after the crash.

A Louisiana State Police document contains the following allegations about the incident: As Lacy was illegally passing the other vehicles, the driver of a northbound pickup truck abruptly braked and swerved to the right to avoid a head-on collision with the approaching Dodge. Traveling behind the pickup was a 2017 Kia Cadenza whose driver swerved left to avoid the on coming Dodge Charger. As the Kia Cadenza took evasive action to avoid impact with the Dodge, it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound 2017 Kia Sorento. Following the crash, Lacy drove around the crash scene and fled south on LA Hwy 20 without stopping to render aid, call emergency services, or report his involvement in the crash.

A passenger in the Kia Sorrento, Herman Hall of Thibodaux, was critically injured in the 10 a.m. crash and transported to a hospital where he later died, investigators said. Hall, age 78, was a former Marine.

When your identity is football, you feel like you have nothing else when it gets taken away from you.

He probably made at least $300k in NIL being a high level player at LSU, might have got the Charger he killed somebody with for free too.

Like a lot of these high major kids they don’t go to school to get a degree and have a backup plan; it’s NFL or bust. He was looking at prison time and no clear path to the NFL and decided to give himself a dirt nap instead of figuring out how to be useful to society. These kids let the schools use them instead of using the school.

Sad story

The sad thing is if he were driving respectably, his NFL or bust plan would have worked.

RIP to this young man. I enjoy watching football but taking big hits all the time can't be good for you mental well being.

Edit: I didn't know about the hit and run. Bad combination all around.
