RIP to one of my favorite big men in pro wrestling.:mjcry:

That Kamala gimmick was a double-edged sword. It took off for him unlike all his previous gimmicks but it also put an immediate ceiling on just how far he was ever going to go in the business based on how :mjpls: the whole gimmick was at it's core.

This is the Frank Frazetta image that gave Jerry Lawler and Jerry Jarrett the idea for the Kamala the Ugandan Giant character :stopitslime::

And here's the debut vignette they shot for him on Lawler's farm:

Damn this one really makes me feel sad,he always seemed like a great guy

most of Kamala career was before I watched but all the pain he went through late in life is too much for any man to have to deal with

rest in peace to Kamala

his interview with Dan Le betard is hard to listen too and made the crew cry

Damn.

James had a rough go post wrestling. I remember him on Steve Austin’s podcast and realizing he was a soft spoken southern gentleman at the end of the day like a lot of my uncles. Gained even further appreciation for him

Always enjoyed being terrified of Kamala as a youngster

rest well OG. you left your mark

Thread could use a sticky, numbers don’t matter here
