Sunday night baseball as a kid, watching Chipper, Griffey, Jeter, A-Arod, Randy Johnson, Bonds, Ripken, all of them, with Miller and Morgan announcing, followed by Baseball Tonight and SportCenter, damn...

:damn:

HAD to rep you for the nostalgia. I know people who never picked up a baseball glove or bat in their lives but remember THIS very lineup

i know him as a broadcaster, but i used to study up on the almanacs and stats since i was a kid. so i always had respect for joe.

always respected the man. another loss. as these old black legends die it really does make me wish there were more black players in the modern game.

word. and he was itching to see more young brothers play the game too.

R.I.P. to him. I didn't watch baseball in the 70s so to me, he was the color commentator for Sunday Night Baseball.
