MS owns Microsoft Outlook, the by far landsliding highest sold email client with MS Exchange being the highest sold email server.

Calling Hotmail outlook is just branding and nothing more.

MS bought Hotmail from an indian guy and they never rebranded it, now years later they finally are.

I'e been using the new outlook aside from Gmail for the past year almost.

It's great. And the spam filter is great, which is the reason Hotmail fell off to begin with....wel that and the name hotmail
