You don’t have to be a fan to like something. I liked Von’s music, I just made a choice not to listen to it cause I can’t hear a whole album about killing people. Doesn’t mean that I still can’t recognize the talent or say that it’s good music
These dudes can't help themselves when it comes to dissin' the dead/opps. I remember Rooga's video talking about the King Von situation, he was showing compassion overall, but then he just put out that Old Rooga song few weeks ago.

Is sad af…but Chicago has made murder and dissing opps apart of its musical business model…. they’ve made it where unless they dissin and talkin wild they can’t get a click or a view…. They went from Kanye and common to mass murdering rappers. They gotta walk that all back.

It's easier to take the high road until it's one of yours that's now a 'pack' or in some bars after getting shot.
I really think these guys are conflicted with this tho, because you hear it when they speak in it. Duck was trying to pivot from the shyt too, but again, after the other side clowning your people that just died, it turns into a game of back and forth. I know I heard of some ideas and initiatives from local advocates who want to flag songs that are disrespectful to the dead and have them banned from streaming services.
It's a part of drill music to the point that there's no answer to curb it
