Stuart's passing was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the clip. Didn't realize just how many people from that crew passed away. Rich has been through it. Tough job to manage all that emotion, but he handled it like a true professional.

People are living longer than ever these days, 72 isn't as old as it sounds

The point is that he had terminal throat cancer. Medical therapy probably gave him additional months/years he wouldn’t have had with the natural course of the cancer. Head and neck cancers usually kill folks around 6 months after diagnosis.
