Cordele police arrest 16-year-old in shooting death
The juvenile's name and charges are not being released at this time
CORDELE, Ga. — Cordele police have arrested a 16-year-old male in connection to January 14 shooting death.
According to a news release from the Cordele Police Department, police along with the GBI made the arrest Wednesday after an investigation.
The release says the juvenile's name and charges are not being released at this time, and more arrests and charges are possible.
On January 14, officers responded to a shots fired call near 4th Avenue and 3rd Street.
That's where they found 31-year-old Jared Gherefiel dead. He was later identified as a resident.

But he said its a good idea to get the donations started now and that even though they have the 16 year old, the reward money will help in getting more information that will help the investigation and it'll help catch anyone else that was involved.
