RIP Brother Marquis of 2 Live Crew; deceased at 58

Dude had a lot of negative things to say about how Luke treated him during the 2 Live Crew days. Similar to the Geto Boys, when you hear after the fact about the friction between members it kinda messes up the image you paint in your head. I was convinced 2 Live Crew had some gangster in them with the way Luke was going at NWA on top of how they were the poster child for freedom of speech with their publicized controversial trial for having banned albums and them going up against the system and winning. Marquis was the lead rapper of the first group to put the south on the map. Also one of the first rap groups to bring lewdness at the forefront of hip hop. His memory is etched in stone. I did a 2 Live Crew binge about a year ago. Gonna have to do another in Marquis' memory.

I'm 47 and I swear it seems like at least 3 people I went to high school with are dying each year. I've lost a lot of friends. I don't know wtf is going on. My wife swears I work out too much (sometimes I'm about to pass out from exhaustion), but I tell her that I don't want her waking up one morning laying next to someone that died in their sleep because I was unhealthy.
