:jbhmm: Counterpoint: Same computer program would've had said stereotyped reenforced once he saw it used on an episode of Empire. Said AI would've assumed that Empire is high brow television and if its said there, it must be appropriate to say in public

:patrice:

So in your scenario the AI was designed with maximum potential but minimum starting settings to allow it to determine its own base operating system based on the first interactions with humanity.

His first interactions were here (TFR), so what we were experiencing with the lack of music and TV knowledge was the first kernels of input building a foundation, and when he discovered TLR he was just building on that foundation?

Breh, are we watching an AI experience life from the age of 0-20something at an accelerated speed. Like a child, TV as the first stimulus shapes your child-like being but then in school when you're experiencing the world without your parents you fall prey to questionable people (stoners, b-boys, militants) :ohhh:

Yes, Dr. See, I believe, that he's like Data. Striving to be human but not entirely aware of our customs and how we do things.

For instance, the mulatto episode is similar to Data trying to understand why Worf falling into water was funny. Or the fact that Data was so impressionable he'd assimilate different things until he decided what worked for him
