Damn. This one is kinda tough for me because Big Van Vader kind of introduced me to wrestling. When i was young my grandmother took me to a WCW show and to see him come out with that big huge elephant mask that blew smoke was something that amazed me being a small kid.He was like a real life monster. You realize now he was one of the true showmen of wrestling.Orginial OG.RIP to an icon.

I was so geeked when this happened in 2012. Can't believe he was 57 then

Unbelievable. I remember legit wanting him to have an IC title run after this appearance :pachaha:

But yeah prime early 90s Vader use to put fear into Lil' CJ. The mask, and his strikes were always :ohlawd:

HitGOAT saying Leon was just one big teddy bear :mjcry: RIP :mjcry:

Came here to post this, people who didn’t watch wcw in the early nineties won’t get it. He was an absolute beast of a man who was agile and could come off the top rope. His powerbomb made people quit the business.

RIP Mick Foleys ea.....

RIP to Vader, so far ahead of his time
That's what I said in the evaluation thread on him when ppl tried to give Vader scores like he was average. That man got a damn good/great match out of a past prime hacksaw jim duggan..a watchable one against giant gonzalez... and gave Hogan his last great in ring matches not fueled off nostalgia...those are modern day miracles:mjcry:

The fact that the fans knew exactly who he was too:mjcry:. Vader was actually more well known than a lot of people would realize, I still remember his episode of Boy Meets World playing Frankie's dad and letting Shawn & Corey walk him to the ring.

He did a great job as Frankie's dad. I remember that more than most of his matches tbh. RIP Vader.
