NBA and hip-hop are close..
The difference is that you actually need some type of credibility in order to be taken seriously. Wrestling is the only place where a random person can say they have sources and make up shyt, and people will take it as gospel as long as it's interesting.

Fun Fact: Wrestling is the only profession that doesn't require a legit journalist/reporter.
In the wrestling industry's defense, the predetermined aspect of the profession and the fact that scripts change on the fly makes it sort of impossible to have a legit journalist/reporter. It's why those other media outlets only cover the high points of the industry and don't bother with the day to day aspects of what goes on like they do with other professions.

With that being said, outside of The Ringer and ESPN, none of those other wrestling shows are even getting interview's with the talent like that to even believe that they have some sort of backstage sources, which makes it hilarious that people even believe them to begin with.

Eh, independent podcasts have gotten interviews with major WWE and AEW talent actually, I follow quite a few of them. Even some small time ones have gotten some pretty big stars.

Makes me curious as to why the Meltzer’s of the world don’t get those interviews when they all are essentially in the realm.
