Breh, it's cus cable TV is dead dead dead. None of these media companies are invested in their cable TV schedules no more. All their realt shyt is premiering and playing on paramount plus or whatever they on.
All channels do this now. Comedy Central plays The Office and South Park marathons every single day. TBS plays American Dad, Big Bang Theory, and Friends for hours on end. Cartoon Network is all Amazing World of Gumball and Teen Titans Go. No longer this 24 hour showcase of both new and classic animation libraries like when I was a kid. I can name at least three cable channels that play nothing but Law and Order and CSI reruns all day every day.
This is the new business model of what's left of cable television. Just pick a popular syndicated show that's practically background noise and put it on loop until 8pm. You might as well just get a streaming service and play it out yourself.
I only keep my cable tv service for news, sports, and when I have guests over...plus im a 90s head and actually prefer traditiobal television to streaming (I wish these streaming platforms had a feature to emulate a cable tv-like experience). but I don't see me doing this for long. Once CNN, MSNBC, ESPN and national games can be watched live from streaming services, I'm bushing cable all the way.
