Of course the ATL
I gave up on these nikkas after the Dirty Bird era lol

that said what's the story on Ridder? Are we all in on him or just buying time for some potential big time play draft wise?

He’s a work in progress. At camp he’s shown flashes but also being inconsistent with his down field passing. He’s a former third round pick (2022 Draft) so this is an all in kinda year and we’ve got a backup in Taylor Heinicke who can fill in if Ridder starts fukkin up

Realistically I’d expect him to be Game Manager mode, I’m thinking 15-17 completions a game, ball control with Tyler Allgeier & Bijan and short to intermediate passing to the TEs (Pitts, Jonnu Smith, etc) and big WRs on the outside (Mack & Drizzy) to keep the chains moving. Expect alotta bully ball, physical ball control type of offense (think Tennessee Titans of the last few seasons)

gotcha I don't follow CFB heavy anymore, are there any upcoming Game Changer QBs we may be trying to get in position for in the next or draft after next?

I remember us putting our hat in for Desean Watson or at least the rumors.

Ridder will be nasty once this offense gets rolling. He basically could be Matt Ryan with Kaepernick's mobility, which is exactly what Arthur Smith wants for his system. Despite being a 3rd round pick, I see Ridder as our QB of the future same as if he went top 5. It's all on execution.

It's really not that outlandish to think he can be real good. He was the 2nd QB off the draft board last yr.

We know how hit or miss 1st round QBs can be. Josh Rosen sam darnold for example

What y'all scouting on for tonight brehz?

Desmond: To see if he can connect on deep passes and provide leadership.

Bijan: Is he an explosive player

Mack Hollins: To see if can be a deep threat in the offense

Bergeron: To see if Matthew can beat out Hennessy for starting LG

Mykal Walker: He needs to beat out Trey Andersen for LILB, if not this seasons Linebacking group will be trash, regardless or not we pick up Bud Dupree in FA.

Jessie Bates: Can he be a leader for this defense

Honestly, I'm not scouting for anything lol.I'm just excited to see a real game. Definitely wanna see Bijan, backups and roster hopefuls. I made a joke in the group chat about Carlos Washington Jr (RB4), but it's guys like him that might show some juice and make the squad. This might be one of the deepest teams we've had entering the preseason in a few years

We might see the starters on a drive or two, just enough for disillusioned fans to call someone a bust or crown them a GOAT

Desmond Ridder drinking game.

Take a shot every time Desmond says "Uuumm", "Obviously", "For me". During an interview.
