Dog i feel what u saying about a rookie suppose to struggle.. but its points when rookies ball out and then have hard times "hitting the wall" kinda like how cam newton was lighting it up the 1st couple games then struggled a few.. thats what rubio was doing prior to getting hurt

The D (where it's so cold)
I've only scene Rubio wear Nikes, not sure what he wore in the Euro league though. I'm sure Nike thinks globally too and they still didn't go into a bidding for Rubio's "bright future". Adidas is really gambling here, I get Rubio has the huge backing from Europe (mostly Spain, though) that no other exciting flashy player has, so on that front he could be a their best seller but if he doesn't pan out Adidas will look foolish. Besides, Adidas isn't all that great at marketing I don't know of any classic Adidas commercials and also their designs suck, they have more iconic wack shoes than classics.

Rubio would have had some timeless Nike sneakers.

I watched every minny game this season

if anything, I would say he suffered more from fatigue from all those back to backs and less from a wall. i thought u meant a skill wall, not the rookie transition wall :yeshrug:

It had nothing to do with fatigue, it was all about teams scouting him and exposing his division 3 level jump shot

teams left rubio wide open and these were his shooting percentages:

at the rim: 47%
3-9 feet: 26%
10-15 feet: 27%
16-23 feet: 34%

His field goal percentage was dropping each month, so how the hell did he get hurt when he was about to hit the next level? :what:

December:61 fg%
January: 37 fg%
February: 34 fg%
March: 31 fg%

If yall aren't gonna watch games the least you could do is check the stats

And who is making Adidas financial decisions? They tied all this money up for a big man (dwight) and a white dude (rubio)....neither group sells shoes

After the first month of Rubio lighting it up teams stop checking him with pg's and started putting bigger guys on him to play physical defense, that's when his numbers started to tank. Dude was taking alot of hard fouls, even their gm complained to Stern about it. He still was winning games though just as a facilitator. But numbers don't lie, should be interesting next season to see if this trend continues.

But yeah, these Adidas contracts are ridic. Need to start throwing these mils at some shoe designers. The Gil zeros were the last pair of Adidas I ever owned or plan to.
