Because his appeal as an artist is that he used to be a drug kingpin. Nobody wants to hear street talk from a nikka that used to do cavity searches on men that really lived that life for a living. Telling the truth initially about his lifestyle wasn't an option. Take away the drug content and his false background from his music and all you have is heavy d.

Ross is funny to me. I think he's told so many lies that he forgot what he said in the past. We all know he's been media trained but that can't even save him.
