if the music sucks, why do we care what his opinion is?How???
Dee-1 is practicing what he preaches.
I’m tired of people who can’t do their day job being mad at others doing theirs.

I dont respect this critique coming form HIM.Again, Dee-1 isn't commenting about Ross, Jim or Meek over a beat. Why does it matter that he's not a good rapper if he's not using rap as a vehicle to critique those guys in this instance?
You basically keep saying: "Ok but he no rap good", ok Nap, he's an awful rapper, move to the next point.
I dont respect this critique coming form HIM.
So yes, I’m judging the messenger.
This is what Joe Budden was saying. If you’re IN THE GAME, you need to actually be better at your job because you can’t make no effort critiques when you’re in a position to actually change things.
Dee-1 is getting MORE PRESS NOW than he EVER has. With NOTHING to show for it.
Listen to the podcast. I did.Did you watch this video, Queensflip cowardly retreated to the "but it's just music" talking point when met with an argument he couldn't address with sound logic. Dee 1 didn't put any of those guys down, he bent over backwards damn near to couch his commentary in love and respect.
It's rich that Joe's entire podcast centers around doing exactly what Dee-1 did, giving some commentary about some so-called entertainers and he believe Dee-1 shouldn't have invoked names.
Clown shyt and I enjoy Joe's content.
You don't want to hear that bullshyt sharif ass nikka I don't give a fukk. Live your dumb life niggsI’m gonna gon head and call you a goofy ass nikka too. Mothatucks don’t even have shyt logical to say, just wanna fukking argue
you care a lot about drake's opinion and his music has always suckedif the music sucks, why do we care what his opinion is?

This is the type of shyt he’s dropping but wants to talk about everyone elseI think boy clout chasing...
fukking BG came out the feds with his son in the feds and look at the shyt he talking about lol...
This is the type of shyt he’s dropping but wants to talk about everyone else
I don't think there's anything wrong with what Dee 1 said but one thing I got a problem with is the lazy "blame the rapper" narrative, especially coming from the same people who consume the same type of music for decades.Did you watch this video, Queensflip cowardly retreated to the "but it's just music" talking point when met with an argument he couldn't address with sound logic. Ross isn’t the one to go to, he doesn’t hold any sway. Go to the stars of rap holding the draco laser beam in the wshh production value music videos. but that isn’t going to happen. its much easier crying about meek, Ross & whatever else trends in hip hop culture. That’s the reality.
Just like movies, once the game is off, it's over. The head of Rockstar or the voice actor for the MC isn't out here telling you how real it is and playing the role 24/7 and not being themselves. They have to take SOME blame.I don't think there's anything wrong with what Dee 1 said but one thing I got a problem with is the lazy "blame the rapper" narrative, especially coming from the same people who consume the same type of music for decades.
Rap is just music and entertainment. Why are rappers being blamed for poisoning the community when they aren't even the ones making the most money from it? The success of Meek, Ross, Jim Jones etc is a product of marketing dollars spent by the 3 big record labels.
The video game industry makes more money than rap. Call of Duty and GTA especially is where children learn about different guns but why does no one blame them for that? I have a lot of friends that's been to prison and none of them was influenced to sell drugs or hurt people cause of rap
But isn't that Ross and Jim Jones whole point? When the music's off they're doing things for their community in real life (so they claim)Just like movies, once the game is off, it's over. They don't promote and glorify that until they need to hide behind it to deflect. All they talk about on the regular is gang shyt, violence and bullshyt in the name of money. Aside from Jim's time on Love and Hip-Hop, neither of them is EVER out of character. They front and act tough all the time, and make no distinction between "entertainment" and real criminality until there's pushback. But isn't that Ross and Jim Jones whole point? I'm just being objective here
