Top Dawg was also there btw, and Top was also out supporting 50 during his recent charity basketball game this summer. This is about Jimmy Iovine. Kendrick is Jimmy's guy, shyt isn't more complicated than that.

People may have forgotten but 50 was on IG hyping Family Matters before it came out. Then he got REAL quiet when Kendrick reverse uno'd that shyt. That told me everything I needed to know. 50 fukks with Kendrick but would have enjoyed seeing his downfall because it would hurt Jimmy.

50 has said the beef was due to him pursuing SMS Headphones instead of getting on board with Beats but that ignores the fact that he was telling Jimmy Iovine to go fukk himself in 2007 lol. 50 was mad about the L to Kanye, blamed the label, didn't like that things were slowing down for him budget wise etc. Took it personally instead of accepting the reality that he fell off. I'd imagine him (and Game) feel some type of way about Kendrick going on album 5 without having his budgets reduced yet. I don't think anyone in that building saw that coming but Iovine was always a believer in Kendrick and Top. But nobody could have thought he'd have the song of the summer 12 years after his debut album.
