I love rick and north but it's corny whenever people say "you don't like this show? You just not smart enough to understand it"

It's a cartoon with philosophical themes, not rocket science. A lot of cartoons have philosophical themes without beating you over the head with it.

Like one of the detractors in here said R&M does attract a lot of viewers that watch it because it makes them feel smart. That's cool just stop that "only people of superior intellect can understand this show".

Also Space Dandy approach a lot of the same themes as R&M without trying to show how "smart" it was as a show. Even futurama touch on similar themes and was on prime time television. You can like the show and still understand what turns people off about the show.

That's true, Adventure Time is more 'for kids' but even that goes into territories that kids won't grasp until they're older.



That's the dope thing about cartoons they can simultaneously be for kids and adults at the same time. Each party will get something different out of the shows.

To further my last point about cartoons being for both kids and adults. On 2 Stupid Dogs I thought the Little Red Riding Hood character was just funny because she sometimes screamed her words. As an adult she's still funny to me but I also realized that the little girl has tourette syndrome but the show didn't have to tell you that or make some big speech about it.
