Wtf...lol. Half the cats on the IWC don't even know who the fukk the Freebirds are.
Who is more well known to people who stopped watching wrestling in the 90s? Unless you were in OK or Texas, you didn't know about the Freebirds beyond the extra shytty version in early WCW that were a dorky mid card tag team. People remember Rick Rude even if they grew out of wrestling 20+ years ago.
Who drew more money? Freebirds.
I'm sure an argument can be made that Rude contributed to more gates and bigger gates than the Freebirds by virtue of his status in the biggest company in the world during a boom period. Rude was selling out MSG/Spectrum/Boston Gardens with Warrior and Piper. Freebirds were selling out the 4500 seat Sportatorium. Big difference.

The Freebirds were one of the hottest acts of the 80s anywhere in the country. Rude never achieved anything close to that and that's with the WWE machine. If you don't know what you're talking about, please don't bother responding. Do your homework and get back to me because I don't think you realize how hot the Freebirds were with the Von Erich boys.
examples? Not doubting but them receipts are neededand Rick Rude a KNOWN blatant racist, what's your point?
Rude was in a bigger machine working bigger buildings with more money involved. The big shows you highlight were unique and super shows. WWF was running arenas with crowds that size on a monthly loop. Putting WrestleRock or Superclash attendance on the Freebirds is bizarre. It was a super show with AWA/JCP/WCCW putting on the biggest event they could to try to compete with the WWF and had damn near all of the top stars in the era that weren't in the WWF.
It's not like AWA and WCCW were running even 10K seat arenas very often. Scale matters here. Rude was operating on a much larger scale.
lol relax im just fukking with you man. If anything Michael Hayes really does think hes black lol.
