Imo this dies down and gets mostly ignored after a couple of months. Cancelling Flair essentially indicts the entire industry, among multiple generations, of collogues and co-workers who have known about and excused Flair's behavior for 40 years while praising him as the GOAT and most honored wrestler of all time. No one stopped working with him or refused a program with him, no one in charge fired him, fans in the know never stopped praising him, all the GOATs in the industry never stopped praising him and his influence. It's not like this was a one off incident with Flair on this one specific plane ride. It's a consistent pattern of behavior people have been talking about since the early to mid 80s at least.
A rush of stories will come out in the next 2 weeks, then people will move on to other stories (wrestling or otherwise), and once Flair pops up somewhere next year, people will still pop and WHOOOOOOO and continue to ignore his lifetime of problematic behavior. In the same way people ignore Austin's domestic abuse, HBK's date rape and drug abuse. I do not think he's going to get the kind of receptions Hogan gets these days when he finds his way back to a wrestling show.
Unless he's accused of full on rape, then he's gonna get Benoit'd in a hurry.
