They were definitely putting NXT Evolve on the network. Having Ciampa Gargano and KOR teaching people how to work on National tv is something. It won’t be long until Law and order reruns would be more viable than paying WWE for that slot

Of the 52 (!) released talents this year, only 2 have been hired by AEW. Don't know if EverRise is on board or that was just for this week.

47 were released last year. 8 of them are on AEW now.

So yeah.

I would say most of the lower card in WWE, are people not interested in wrestling, but interested in using WWE as a springboard to something else. It's why I always say cutting your teeth through the indies is a true way of show your love for the sport.

Look at Zack Ryder. He has name value, exposure from WWE. Wants to work and have fun wrestling. GCW might be trash, but people still go to it, people want to have fun and Cardona wants to help entertain. 500, or 500,000, its all about putting on a show and a love of the craft itself.

So AEW might get them, Impact might get them, or maybe something smaller. Its up to them to really show how much they love it, and see if they get discouraged wrestling in a bingo hall vs. a packed arena.

That pic really shows how NXT became a vanity brand for Paul instead of a proper development project. There was/is no need for no NXT India,Japan,etc...Hell NXT UK is borderline pointless. All it did was throw cold water on a vibrant Euro indy scene.

To be fair, you don't need a Bronson Reed on your roster if you have a Samoa Joe. Even at Joe's age now.
That being said, I could definitely see Vince'n'em bushing Bronson because he don't trust big men from NXT after Keith. Completely ignoring that Vince'n'em were why Keith didn't work in the first place.
