I mean....sources can be wrong too.

If Kobe himself can say "I'm not playing for the Lakers anymore" and then proceed to do exactly that...how can you find it incomprehensible that at one point he told someone close to him that he was prepared to sit out the season?

I'm very familiar with ESPN's questionable journalism, and I believe their editorial process to be embarrassing at best, but to go from that to accusations that a reporter is literally just inventing sources is one hell of a leap.

Why do you make it seem like the fabrication of sources is so far-fetched?...I know you saw the Chris Broussard/Deron Williams scandal this summer, I dont think he is the only one that has taken advantage of "sources" "according to people from his camp" etc....whenever a journalists starts an article with a unanimous source and then proceeds to inject nothing but personal opinion into the article, its more than likely bullshyt, ESPECIALLY as it relates to ESPN

just look at the article I posted in the OP, he brings up his source in the first sentence and doesnt mention him or her again until the end of the article...and he doesnt cite even 1 quote from this source..

only other mention of the source
I'm also told the Lakers realize that finding another box-office attraction on Kobe's level, no matter how few games they win, would be extremely difficult.
:pachaha:

The D (where it's so cold)
I see why Woj doesn't want to be ESPN's go to NBA insider, the very definition of the job seems like you would have to make shyt up. You can't divulge names and only a small portion of the thing "sources" say actually happen, that would make anyone seem clueless. Bucher also has terrible opinions on the sport which makes it much worse.

Right. Kobe never asked the Lakers to trade him either. He never went on the Stephen A Smith show and demanded a trade from the Lakers.. :what:

My God you are slow. :what:

you're all over the place

every Laker fan knows about Kobe's trade demand

his trade demand does not negate the fact that Ric Bucher was making up bullshyt in the spur of the moment..

he went from "Kobe will sit-out if not traded"

to "Kobe will only play if Jerry West is brought back"..

to "Kobe will only play if Garnett is traded to LA"

and you really sit here and expect me to believe Kobe's was directing this shyt....Kobe might have spoke to Bucher to some extent but neither Kobe or his camp were sending conflicting reports to a journalist just cause, thats not how it works

DING DING DING

when is the last time an ESPN journalist has made a true prediction?

Kobe told him all of that. Stephen A Smith was reporting the same things that Bucher was!

Are you forgetting how Kobe went on the radio and demanded a trade then 2 hours later he called back and said he didn't want to be traded? Then a few days later he asked to be traded again? Kobe was ALL OVER THE PLACE.

After the Dwight Howard fiasco, why is this so hard to believe? These guys change their minds all the time. Remember Elton Brand and Baron Davis? Remember Phil calling Kobe uncoachable? Remember Sheed claiming he was signing with the Knicks as a free agent when he was first traded to Det?

to be fair, I dont know what to make of the Dwight situation due to ESPN's poor journalism
