I tried to get into "The Shield" this past spring after I had just watched through "The Wire", "The Sopranos", the first 4 seasons of "Breaking Bad", & giving up on overrated "Mad Men" after 1 season.
I ended up only watching 3 episodes. It just wasn't as good as the previous first 3 shows I mentioned. Plus, I didn't care for the storyline with new young black cop that was on the down low.
But because of how critically acclaimed the show is & I think the Creator/Executive Producer Shawn Ryan does quality work, I will one of these days get back into the show.
