Rewatching The Shield and it doesnt hold up

I always considered it slightly below the top shows, but it still was very good.
And the final season and the finale were really well done

Rewatching the 1st season and it seems dated. The shaky camera thing never bothered me before, but now I dont if its watching the hbo/amc shows that are so great visually, the shakiness is annoying. Also some of the dialouge is weak.

Has anyone else gone back and watched the show I wanted to rewatch the series and it has been like 8 years since I caught the first 2 seasons on dvd and it isnt that rewatchable

Some of my boys and kinfolk told me I just HAD to watch that show. I tried to watch it when it was on but just didn't care for the vibe. I finally sat down and watched it last year. Overrated show but still good. Nothing I care to ever watch again though.

Thats prob the only season I've seen all the episodes and seen multiple times. I'd put that season up against some of the best goat dramas including the wire, dexter, breaking bad, ect..
It's a damn shame Whittaker didn't get an Emmy for that shyt

Shield is good but as far elite shows its not fukking with the Sopranos/Wire/Breaking Bad. FX shows always have a unrealistic plotlines to them. I dont get that
