Watch the count. It’s 8-9 seconds he’s grimacing in pain. The fight is called off between 9 and 10 seconds. He immediately springs to his fight at this exact moment it’s called. He quit. He also underestimated his opponent and became greedy

Should fight Teofimo Lopez at 140

He made a business decision not to take anymore punishment. That's it. He was done. This talk of quitting is asinine because 1) we don't know how hurt he was and 2) we don't know exactly what he was thinking. His father later confirmed that he didn't want to take unnecessary punishment and he knew the fight was over. Time to let it go.

How does that tie in with his videos on his YouTube channel?
i can give you one specific example. ryan garcia does not hit a speed bag. i know that because in most the videos of his training he never hits it except rarely to goof around on it, but not actually hitting it. its difficult to learn how to get good on a speed bag. its not easy to do. but its easy to hit a cobra reflex bag. and all his videos are him on the cobra reflex bag. does that tell you something about ryan garcia?

i never knew that ryan garcia had a youtube channel watching some of the videos and the signs that ryan garcia was going to take a knee like that are just everywhere
Not only that but he admitted in his interview with Ben askren that when he's in the locker room before fights he wonders why he's even doin this. That he hates the pressure. That's why I felt like if he ever went through real adversity in a fight he would probably fold. But I give him his props for still taking the fight and challenging himself. But now that he knows for sure he can be stopped I don't think he's ever gonna be the same mentally.

I think he was scared shytless last weekend. I don't think getting stopped is the problem. The problem is he decided not to go life and death , regardless if he could or couldn't. I think his confidence will be shot for awhile.
