Yeah, I think most of us were rightly disappointed when it first released, especially when you consider how good his first three albums were, but I recently realized that the album has a decent number of songs that I still play from time to time:

Never Enough
Yellow Brick Road
Like Toy Soldiers
Spend Some Time
Mockingbird
Ricky Ticky Toc

The rest was trash for the most part (Big Weenie alone probably disqualifies him from any top 5 discussions), but six songs that have managed to stand the test of time isn't bad.

Relative to his previous shyt it was rightly frowned up.

You buggin if you're tellin' me this shyt was wack though. Toy Soldiers & Mockingbird are dope. I still find myself laughing at Rain Man, Ass Like That etc. Spend Some Time, One Shot 2 Shot and Encore Curtains Down though? Flames.

His flow was really on point on this album. A lot people clown the album, but he was experimenting with his flow. While the subject matter to some songs may have been very wack on some songs on there, I respect what he was doing with his flow. Some of it was godly, and a lot of rappers couldn't do what he was doing. Add that to the few good songs and you get an album better than "Recovery".

:wtf: The album had like 5 songs tops that I enjoyed, and it had 23 tracks. You do the math. Not good at all.

Em actually wrote in the CD credits "To my friends and family, I'll always love you...to my fans, I'm sorry"....that should tell you all you need to know about the album.

Don't get me wrong, the album had its moments...but as an overall package? shyt's no higher than 3 mics...and that's being generous.

The album was disappointing and yes..it IS his weakest one...

It's not really BAD..lets just say he half assed it....the first half of the album was :obama:..but then when Just Lost it came on I was like :scusthov:...then it was Ass Like That and i was like :snoop:

I mean it KINDA picked up towards the end with One Shot 2 Shot, Spend Some Time and Encore but it just left me :smh:

To me I should have saw it coming because towards the release of the album I was listening to his featured verses on other people's shyt and I realized that his flow was becoming lazy. I mean they weren't BAD..it was just lazy...like he was bored...

Then when Just Lose It came out I was like :wtf: is this?...

So glad he admitted that them pills were fukking him up...I mean if those tracks never leaked the album would have had a COMPLETELY different sound..who knows..:yeshrug:
